The Lord allowed WGCR to increase its power to 10,000 watts in 1989, 25,000 watts in January of 2008, and then 50,000 watts in November of 2010. WGCR's primary coverage area includes Western North Carolina , along with portions of South Carolina and East Tennessee, including the counties of Transylvania, Henderson, Buncombe, Jackson, Haywood, and Polk in NC and Pickens, Oconee, and Greenville counties in SC. In 1997, Anchor Baptist Broadcasting Association, Inc. began the internet broadcast of wgcr.net, which broadcasts WGCR's daily programming and music. Most recently WGCR/Anchor Broadcasting began broadcasting in the French Broad River Valley of WNC over FM repeater 94.9. The Lord has also allowed the ministry to expand through online streaming channels, The Music Channel (continuous music); The Preaching Channel (continuous preaching); and The Video Channel (preaching and music from the WGCR/Anchor Broadcasting video library).
